While our collection is offered in a curated palette, we can also develop bespoke finishes to suit specific project requirements. This may include specialist veneers, custom colour matching, or the integration of materials such as metal, glass or stone, depending on the design.
Collection pieces are offered in a curated palette of oiled timber finishes to ensure consistency and lead time reliability. Bespoke commissions allow for greater flexibility in materials and finishing.
Oiled surfaces can be cleaned with a soft cloth and lukewarm water, or a suitable wood cleaner such as Rubio Monocoat’s Surface Care Spray. Periodic re-oiling may be recommended over time to maintain appearance. Further guidance can be found on our Care & Maintenance page.
Yes — we regularly work with designer-specified materials, including wallcoverings, leathers and hardware, integrating them into cabinetry and furniture where appropriate.
Our furniture incorporates a curated palette of brass finishes — including aged, natural and darker bronze tones — selected to complement timber. Selected stocked hardware is also available in finishes such as satin nickel and polished chrome.
We can develop timber finishes to sit alongside existing schemes, typically working with our oiled finishes to achieve the most natural and consistent result. Sampling is usually required, and subtle variation is to be expected when working with natural materials.
Timber may mellow and develop character with age. The extent of this varies depending on the species, finish and light exposure, with some pieces changing more than others.
Oiled finishes sit within the surface of the timber, giving a natural, low-sheen appearance and a tactile feel. They are straightforward to maintain, with the option to carry out localised repairs if needed. Lacquered finishes form a sealed surface over the timber and allow for a broader range of sheen levels, from matte through to higher gloss, depending on the project. Both approaches have their place, though we tend to favour oiled finishes where possible for their more natural feel and ease of long-term maintenance.
Samples are intended as a guide. As we work with natural materials, variation in tone and grain is to be expected and is part of the inherent character of each finished piece.
