Why Goodmakers?

Ten reasons designers choose to work with Goodmakers

01

BRITISH DESIGNED & MANUFACTURED

Our furniture is designed and made in Cambridgeshire by our dedicated team of cabinet makers. By supporting British manufacturers, you are helping to keep local businesses and communities thriving.
02

CHOICE & FLEXIBILITY

Every piece of furniture in our collection is customisable, allowing you to style your interior with furniture perfectly suited to its environment. The dimensions, finishes (of which we have over 70 in our standard collection) and fittings can all be tailored to suit your project’s needs.
03

QUALITY OF MATERIALS

We use only the very best materials and fittings in the construction of our furniture. Premium components such as soft-close drawer runners and hinges with Lifetime guarantees are selected for their longevity and user-friendliness.
04

QUALITY OF MANUFACTURE

Our furniture is all hand-made by cabinet makers who are encouraged to take pride in their craft and maintain a high attention to detail. We combine traditional manufacturing techniques with new and innovative processes and components. We endeavour to supply furniture which is both a joy to use and built to last.
05

CLEAR COMMUNICATION & PROFESSIONALISM

We are an honest and transparent company who believe a collaborative relationship with you is crucial to ensuring your interior design project flows smoothly. We strive to make sure that in every step of the process, from initial enquiry to the careful installation of your furniture, your needs are taken care of with the same attention to detail we give to making your furniture.
06

RELIABLE & FLEXIBLE DELIVERY

We sympathise with the many complexities designers face during an interior design project and we are committed to offering you a flexible and efficient white glove delivery service.
07

EXPERT BESPOKE FURNITURE SERVICE

By utilising the expertise of our experienced team of designers and makers we can ensure your bespoke furniture projects are realised. We aim for a 24-hour quotation turnaround and detailed design drawings are supplied as standard.
08

GREATER VALUE

Most of our manufacturing process is undertaken in-house - this means we can oversee every step of the process, ensuring high standards are met, lead times stay on schedule and prices remain competitive.
09

SUSTAINABILITY

We make every effort to ensure the timber materials we source for our furniture are FSC certified and are cultivated from sustainable sources. We also try to minimise waste production as much as we can by being responsible and vigilant during the machining process. Our furniture is always designed with longevity in mind – with strong and durable construction methods using high-quality materials and components.
10

AFTER CARE SERVICE INCLUDED

High-quality furniture deserves dedicated care and maintenance. We offer a complete aftercare service designed to keep your furniture in pristine condition for years to come. Please see our Care guide for more information.

Can I customise a collection piece?

Often yes — we can advise whether a project would be best approached as a refined collection piece or developed as a bespoke commission, depending on the level of customisation required.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes — most of our projects involve collaboration with interior designers and architects, working closely to ensure each piece is considered, well-proportioned and appropriate to the space.

How do I choose the right finish?

We’re happy to guide you. Timber tone, metal detailing and material accents are considered together to suit the wider interior scheme, ensuring the piece sits naturally within the space. We can also provide samples to help refine the final selection.
